WEController
By now is possible to download the last version of WEController, but for the moment
I've not had time to write all Help in English, so please be patient! Here you find
some information about software installation and hardware interfacing.
To download WEController press HERE
(2.15 MB), will be asked to you to fill kindly an optional personal
little questionary for my statistics, wait some second for download.
If you have dowload problem try to this link:
WEController
WEController works in automatic mode at the moment with these softwares:
Tuner Functions:
Ham Radio Deluxe,
Logger 32,
N1MM Logger.
Satellite Rotor Function:
SatPC32,
Orbitron.
Software installation
To install WEController unzip the file wecon.zip
and run the setup.exe file. At the end of installation
you should control if file inout32d.sys (the driver
for hardware) is inside "windows OS root"\system32\drivers\ directory. If
not, copy and past the file from installation package to drivers directory. Then
double-click on inout32d.reg file to put informations
on your system. Reboot the system to active the hardware communication.
Hardware
The hardware interface let you to connect the pc parallel port to the engines with
much more security, can be designed as you want, you are not obliged to use the
same testboard of the original project. This kind of application is studied for
unipolar stepper, search on the internet for the different
type of steppers. Eight optocouplers (4N35) let the parallel port of pc separated
from the power circuit that drives eight darlington power transistors (TIP122).
Any step started from pc for any phase, drives the relative power phase for the
stepper. You'll find from pin 2 to
5 and 6 to 9
of parallel port the eight outputs for the interface, 18
is the ground, 10 and 11
are the input signals of the four NO limit switches and 1
is 5 Vdc output for two of 4N35. HERE is shown an example circuit
picture with components.
Under here you can see two pictures about WEController GUI.
